I am so sad! Our laptop crapped out on us on Thursday and we have to wait until payday to get it fixed. Right now we are not even sure what the problem is or if it is fixable.
It was such convenient timing too. We were waiting for an important email that day and when I went to check and see if it had come yet the computer wouldn't turn on. I had to go over and use the neighbors computer. Erik added the internet to his cell phone so we can check email, but it takes me way to long to sent messages that way. I am not a very good phone texter.
So if you don't see me for a while you know why.
**Things happening at our house besides the computer dying
*Dacia had her kindergarten test on Wed and starts school on Tuesday.
* I start working this week.
So I will have to take pictures this week and post when I can find a computer to use!

Moon Lake
We had a blast at Moon Lake. The weather was perfect and we really enjoyed getting away for a few days. Too bad daddy didn't make it with us. He had a big project going on at work at couldn't get away. We still had fun and the girls were so good and didn't want to come home when it was time.
After we got there on Thursday we roasted hot dogs on the fire and headed down to the lake for a while. It wasn't too far away from the cabins but kinda hard trekkin' through all the sand.
The girls took their fishing poles with them and did a bunch of "fishing". They started getting pretty good at casting.

Bry thought she'd give fishing a try too.
That night the girls had smores around the camp fire. Yummy!
On Friday after breakfast we headed down to the lake again. Bry had fun. It was her first camping trip. Dacia was a month old when she went on her first one (cabins of course) and Ashlyn was 4-5 months old when she went on her first camping trip. The hardest part for babies in not being able to get down on the ground and play. When we got home I just let her roll her little heart out on the floor.
Dacia was so cute. My dad found a stick to set his fishing pole on and Dacia confiscated it. She was so sure she was going to catch a fish. I started feeling kinda bad for her, because mommy just left the little rubber fish and princess crown on the girls poles and that's what they were casting out and reeling in for their "fishing". I finally had grandpa put real hooks on for a while for them to try some real fishing.
I took the boat with us. We bought it last summer at Sam's Club and then we bought a little trolling motor from Smith & Edwards. It doesn't go fast but it is fun for the girls. We used it a few times last summer, but Erik was the one that did all the driving and setting up (I was preggo last summer). So with him not there my brother helped me with it but I did most of the driving taking the kids out on the water. I was pretty nervous at first but I soon got the hang of it.

We were down to the water for a couple hours that morning then went back to camp for lunch and some r&r time. Bry enjoyed her 3 hour nap and the girls played. Ashlyn finally settled down long enough and fell asleep on Sydnee's bed and slept for a couple hours.
When we walked into the store for the first time Dacia let out a scream. She seen a badger and we had to explain to her that is was stuffed and not real . She still wouldn't go close to it. My niece Sydnee walked right up to it and petted it. She said it was soft.
After a yummy dinner of ham & dutch oven potatoes we went back down to the water for a while to play again. It was close to Bry's bedtime, so after a bit of fussing she finally sacked out.
The girls had to give "fishing" one last try before we went home.

Our cabins were pretty cool. Ours had a little mini toilet in it. Perfect for the girls, not so perfect for me and my sister. They were decked out in 70's furniture. These are the chairs at our table. Dacia called them fancy chairs.
We had a fun weekend! We were happy to come home and see daddy.

So we went to Moon Lake last week and I have never seen so many animals and little critters in all of our camping trips. It was crazy! And the animals are pretty fearless. Could it be the fact that they have numerous signs up that say don't feed the animals, but no one follows the rules, so these little critters are wanting more food from everyone.
The pot guts were crazy. There were so many. My mom got a picture of one biting at my sisters shoe. Dacia had a funny encounter with one too. She was standing on the cabin porch with her little fishing pole. They were practicing casting. Dacia cast out her line and started to reel it in and let out a little scream. A pot gut had come out from under the porch and nibbled on her little rubber fish on the end of her Barbie fishing pole.
This is Alvin. Simon and Theodore were running around camp too. This little guy was inches away from my foot at one point.
There was also a doe wandering around camp.
I took Dacia, Ash, and my niece over to the little store and the doe was right off the path. We walked slowly and it moved away a bit. The girls thought it was cool to see it so close.

Even the hummingbirds are notorious for getting right up to people. I think my dad and my brother both had one get pretty close to them.

Update on me going back to work
Just to let you all know what's going on. I took my CNA skills test last week and I got a letter in the mail saying I passed. I took the written test on Tuesday and I just checked the website and it has me listed as my CNA expiration in 2010, so I am guessing that means I passed. Yesterday I had an interview at South Davis Community Hospital that went really well. And today while I was out running errands I got a phone call from them offering me a position. Wow, that was a fast decision. One of the great parts about it is that they offer 4 hour shifts. So on somedays I can do an evening 7-11 when Erik is home. I do plan on doing a couple 3-11 during the week too. It is actually working out pretty well. I have a neighbor who is going back to work too, so we are going to swap babysitting. I will have her kids a couple days a week and she will watch mine a couple days a week.
Ok, now I am off I, I need to finish packing so we can get out of here. We (meaning me and the girls, because Erik has a big project going on at work) are off to Moon Lake with my family for a couple days of fun and sun.

Happy Baby again...
Over the weekend I had thought that Brylee's cold had turned into an ear infection. She wasn't eating her baby food very good, which is what Ash did when she was that age and got her first ear infection. So Monday morning we went over to the Instacare and sure enough mommy was right. The dr was in there all of 3 minutes to look in her ear and send her prescritpion over to the pharmacy. She has been on antibiotics for 3 1/2 days now and she is feeling so much better. I am thankful that with her first cold and ear infection that she has still been a good sleeper. She has also started eating her baby food good again.
Yesterday for lunch Dacia really wanted to feed her. So I let her be a big sister and feed Brylee. She did a very good job and we didn't have too big of a mess from them.

I love the fourf of July, It's my favorite!
So we started out the day at the parade as always. The girls love going, but get a little frustrated because the bigger kids get to the candy faster. We do always have a few nice people around us that share with the girls. Dacia says her favorite part of the parade is the cheerleaders and the ambulance (her favorite car, she says she wants to be a emt when she grows up).
(sorry phone camera again, the camera batteries were all dead)
After the parade Daddy had to go to work. Mommy took the girls to lunch at Hungry Bear. After seeing the Hungry Bear's in the parade they had it in their head that they needed lunch there. After lunch we went and bought a small snow cone machine and made snow cones.
We bbq'd dinner and waited for daddy to get home from work so we could have our ice cream cones. Peanut Butter Ice cream of course. We have a traditon of eating Peanut Butter Ice Cream of the 4th to celebrate when Erik and I met. We met 8 years ago and our first date was on the 4th of July.
When it got dark we did some fireworks of our own and also watched the Clearfield ones from our street. The girls had so much fun!
Dacia is so funny she says "I love ____, it's my favorite" for everything right now. But she can't say fourth, it is fourf, so the fourf of July is her favorite

Happy 3rd of July
Last night we went up to Ogden to Grandma & Grandpa Gumbrecht's assisted living facility Independence Day Celebration. They had hot dogs, popcorn, games for the kids, a kickin' band (Clayton & the gang, I think they might be residence there, or maybe they will be soon), then they did fireworks.
The girls had a lot of fun. It was a sweet deal. Everything was free and we didn't have to fight any crowds. I despise going to park functions for the 4th. It is always too crowded and too hot.

(please excuse the poor quality pictures. I forgot the camera and these were
taken with the phone)
Beatin' the Summer Heat
After being cooped up in the house sick for a week we needed to get out and do something. So on Tuesday we got the swimming pool out and had some backyard fun. The girls love playing in the water and mommy even put on her swim suit and joined in.
