The Greatest Show on Earth

Last night we had our 4th Annual Gumbrecht Family Trip to the Circus. It was so much fun and the girls look forward to it every year. We started the evening with a yummy dinner at Leatherby's in Salt Lake.

The best part was the dessert!

The had the cool Motorcycle cage in the show last night. They had 7 motorcycles driving in it at the same time upside down and around the cage. It was cool.
The also had the tigers there too. Dacia really loves to see the acrobats. Brylee was glued to the show for about the first 20 minutes. Then she was a typical 10 month old and just wanted to wiggle around .

And we have to get a family picture at the circus. We have 3 pictures now(we didn't have one done the first year we went) It's funny to see how our little family is growing from year to year. The girls enjoy our family date nights and they really are well behaved when we go out.

Dacia the Super Star

Dacia had fun being the super star for the week in class despite the head injury on Monday. These are the posters that she made. The first one is her "ME" Poster.
It has a picture of her and Ashlyn because Ash is her best friend. She was to be an EMT and ride the ambulance when she grows up. She loves to watch Dancing with the Stars. The is a pencil and crayon on her poster because she loves to draw and color. She is 5 yrs old. She loves Ladybugs and Butterflies. She likes grapes(one of the only fruits she actually eats). She loves family dates.
This is the poster she colored of herself. I told her we could put yellow yarn on it for her hair and decorate it all cute. The teacher emphasized a few times to let the kids o it themselves. So I had to back off and just let her do it.

When she was all finished coloring the front. She turned it over and said I have to color my hair in the bakj. She ended up coloring the whole back of it.
Today I went over to the school for her Share and Teach Day. She taught her class how to make pudding in a plastic ziploc bag. They all got to help squish the bag to help mix up the pudding. Then we brought pudding cups with cool whip and sprinkles to share with everyone. Her friend said it was the best day ever.
Dacia truly is a superstar. We are so lucky to have her has our daughter.

Poor Dacia

We had our first school injury today. Dacia was line leader and when they were coming in from recess her teacher opened the door and didn't see Dacia there. She clocked her right in the forehead with the door. She has a huge goose egg. The ladies in the office gave me a call and said Dacia was in there and was really upset. I went over to the school and talked to her and got her to calm down and she went back to class.
The goose egg is really huge and you really can't see how big it is in the picture.
This week at school is special for Dacia. She is the class Super Star and gets to share fun things with the class so they can get to know her better. Today they got to interview her and ask her about her favorite things. Right now she is working on her ME poster and Look A Like picture to take to school tomorrow.

Date Night

Erik and I were able to get way for a date last night, which doesn't happen very often. We were hoping to have had a date a few weeks ago, but Dave Matthews was canceled and we just found out this past week that they are not rescheduling and we were refunded. We were kinda bummed.
Last night was awesome though. Erik got free tickets to the Dew Tour in Salt Lake. He got free tickets last year too, but I didn't feel like going soo pregnant. I told him if he got tickets this year I was for sure going with him.
We were able to see the BMX Dirt Finals. It was awesome seeing them do tricks and flips on their bikes. They make it look so easy. The cool part is that the guy from Salt Lake (Mike Aitken) won first place.
After the event we went over to the Energy Solutions for the concert. Oh my gosh did it suck! I just kept thinking "I am way to old for this". It was still a fun night and I enjoy spending time with my honey.

Bry Baby

I can't believe our little girl is getting so big so fast. She is learning new things all the time and it is so fun! She can now say "momma" and she has two big bulges on her top gums. So any day she will have two more teeth in addition to her bottom two teeth. She is getting around so good now and can get to where she wants to be, but she is still not crawling. She rolls and now she is kinda pushing herself forward with her feet and scooting/army crawling. It is so funny to watch. She is getting up on her knees every once in a while and wanting to crawl. She has a funny long hair on top of her head and it makes a cute little spout. She is still a good little sleeper and we all love sleeping through the night. She is also enjoying more time with her daddy and loves her bottle feedings from him. She pants like a little doggy when she is playing on the floor. She is 18.4 lbs. of solid cuteness. We love her so much.
