I got to the school and ran in to find my little girls clothes bloody and her hair matted with blood. The lady that was sitting with her lifted up the gauze for me and I gasped and tried not to react to much because I didn't want to upset Dacia. It was huge!
I talked to Dacia about maybe needing stitches or they would have to glue it back together so it could heal. She was insistent on glue and she didn't want stitches. We went over to the clinic and I was glad that they could take her and that we didn't have to go to the ER. The Dr took one look and said no way would glue work on her cut. They cleaned it up and then numbed it up a bit. Dacia got stickers and some juice while we were waiting and she was laying there so good waiting for everything.
When the Dr came in to finally do the stitches I told her that Dacia didn't know yet and so I broke the news to her. They gave her some shots in her forehead to numb it up a bit more. They cleaned it up more and she got started with the stitches. Dacia came away with 11 stitches. It was so deep they had to do 4 stitches in the lower layer of tissue and then she got 7 stitches on the outside. Dacia was so cute during the whole thing. She told the Dr she didn't like the smell of the dissolvable stitches and wished she could have used ones that didn't stink. The Dr was very nice and talked with Dacia the whole time she was stitching her up. Dacia said ouch TWO times. She was so brave and did so great. The Dr and nurse and her mommy were very impressed at how well she did for a little girl that didn't even want stitches. She did so awesome.
We stopped at RedBox on the way home and they finally had the Barbie movie they have been wanting to see and we had tacos for dinner(one of Dacia's favorite foods).
From the time I picked Dacia up she talked about wanting new clothes. She was so upset that she got blood on her clothes and she just really wanted to change. She was also upset she got blood on her hairbow. I told her I would make her a new one and that it didn't matter.
Warning if you have a weak stomach you may need to look away. I saved the pictures for last, in hopes that my post would be so long the picture wouldn't be on the screen.

Oh, Does anyone want to donate to the We have to pay out of pocket for the Dr bill today because we don't have insurance because we are in our 3 month waiting period at work Fund. Just Kidding! One more thing, does anyone have a bubble I can borrow or know where I can rent one for cheap. I would like to put my kids in a bubble so they don't get hurt any more. It's too sad to see them in pain and hurting, even when they are being brave.

because of your sweet Dacia I have decided that my children will be home schooled and I have started an online search for bubbles... Poor thing. She is tuff.
it has been forever.
I need to come see you, let me know when you are free.
Ouch, That looks very painful. Poor Dacia, If I were you I would definetly be looking for a bubble. Dacia I'm afraid that you are tougher than me.
Poor thing! She sounds like she did really well though. Good for her. I hope she is doing well now.
I feel so bad, we have had to do the stitches thing twice with Justin. Ouch! I hope this isn't what is in our forecast though because a couple of days after her goose egg I got a call from school telling be Justin had a huge goose egg. You're in trouble if I get another call! :) Maybe we can get a by-one-get-one-free deal on the bubble. Let me know if you find one! Your mom actually stopped me at the school today and showed me her picture on her phone. Poor thing!
So sad! Poor thing!
I saw you had a blog from Amy. I hope you don't mind I came to check up on my Dacia Princess. I am so sad to see she got hurt! Please give her a big hug and tell her I'm so sorry she got hurt. I miss my little Dacia and she made my day at the stake meeting several weeks ago when she came to say Hi. I miss you Dacia. Love, Miss Julie
OH BOY!! That really does look painful...what a brave little girl. Bet she's more careful on the playground these days. Maybe you should talk her into helping out in the library or something! just kiddin'!
I feel so bad! I have been wondering what happened to her head but never dared to ask in case it was hard for her to deal with - wow, what a brave gal! She is so amazing! I agree - it's the worst to have kids be in pain! As a mom you just wish you could go through it so they don't have to!
