The projects list around the house is never ending. I am always working on something (actually...my problem is I am a bit ADD when it comes to projects and I am usually working on a bunch somethings). I started my oak railing a while back...I started it by painting one spindle to see how it would look. Many months later I decided I should probably finish it. I am almost done...just needs one more light sanding and a clear coat (which will probably take me another five months). I love picking new projects..I hate it while I am working on them..but love the final product.

It was kind of a last minute plan to add the black. I had thought about doing the whole thing white but decided the hand rail part could end up looking really gross when people run their hands on the white paint. So I went with black. Notice in the background I have a lot more oak railing to paint.
