How does your garden grow...

What a beautiful day today! I finally got to go outside and start working the yard. I had a lot of work to do since I didn't put the garden and yard to "sleep" before the winter. I had a good excuse, I was very pregnant.
So I had to pull out all my old plants that died. My strawberries went crazy with shoots everywhere they shouldn't have been. So I had to pull alot of them up, but they are just going to be replanted. I have 4 garden boxes out back and 1 of them is full of strawberries. I am going to fill another one with strawberries. That was our favorite garden treat last year, so we want more of them.
I got the sprinkling system turned on. Not that we are starting to water yet, but it's nice to turn it on and see that the pipes survived the cold snowy winter without breaking. I had to turn it on to get water in the garden area too.
I hope the garden does better this year. It was so hot last year and I all ready had my little internal furnace going, that I didn't make it outside as much as I should have to take care of the garden.
I tried a few new things last year, but I think this year I am just going to stick to the same things. Tomatoes, zucchini, peas and of course my strawberries. I would love to try potatoes, but don't really have enough room in my garden boxes.
