I love conference weekend! I love hearing the prophet & apostles talk. This conference is especially great to be able to sustain our new prophet, Thomas S Monson. As conference started today I told Erik that I miss President Hinckley, but I looking forward to seeing the work that Pres Monson will do to help build our church up.
I also love being able to go to church in my pj's all weekend. :-)
I am starting a new tradition of pancakes on Sat & Sun morning for breakfast on conference weekends.
Pancakes
1 1/4 cup flour
2 t baking soda
1 T sugar
1 t salt
1 egg
1 c milk
2 T oil
(I just typed that recipe from memory. I make them so much, no bisquick is used in our house)
Different variations of pancakes
**Add chocolate chips or blueberries
**Apple Cinnamon Pancakes - add desired amount of cinnamon to the pancake batter. Peel and core a Granny Smith apple and slice into thin slices. Place a slice of apple on the griddle and put cinnamon batter over it.
**Oatmeal Pancakes- Add 3 packets of your favorite flavor of instant oatmeal to the batter. Add a little extra milk too. We have found these pancakes to be thicker and a little more filling. The girls love them. (This recipes was invented to use up oatmeal packets we had in the pantry. Why Erik bought a super size box of oatmeal from Sam's is beyond me, but we have finally used up the oatmeal making pancakes.)

That is a great idea. I like to start fun traditions like that. I do it in hopes that when my kids are adults they will come home at all the tradition times. Congrats on the 7th anniversary! Hope you had loads of fun. And I can not believe how good Dacia's handwriting is! Holy Cow!
